Facebook Jesus Quiz

These facebook quizzes are getting out of hand. My facebook newsfeed recently informed me of the following: "Stefanie took the What Does Jesus Think of You? quiz and the result is Jesus thinks you're a Jew."  What the hell does that mean?

As someone who is very likely one-quarter Jewish and married to a Jewish woman, I must say that I am thoroughly...confused. Maybe offended? Nah, probably just constipated. But, seriously, wtf? Jesus was a Jew. Do these quiz results mean that Jesus thinks you're cool and one of his homies? Or is he gettin' all up in yo grill Mel Gibson-style and pissed that you killed him? I never understood religion. Or those inane facebook quizzes.

getting tired of Facebook altogether

Yeah im getting tired of Facebook altogether... They have NO custumer service and all kinds of fake ads involving what your friends suposedly said or think. I took that What does Jesus think today and got this... "He's tired of your shit. Nobody thinks you're different, or interesting, or cool. Certainly not the Saviour of all Men. Jesus wants you to quit being such a tool." WTF?? They have no right putting words in somebodys mouth anyway and then to insult people with a religious based application!! ??

I feel your pain. And I'm pretty sure it's not very Jesus-like for Jesus to call anybody a "tool." Isn't that one of the 10 commandments? "Thou shalt not calleth facebook strangers tool."

I just took the quiz and I'm extremely offended. It told me that Jesus thought I was a CUNT.... I can't beleive that Facebook would allow something like that come from Jesus.

Wow, Jesus is clearly very displeased with you. Unless you interpret the term "cunt" in a positive manner, which is not a bad idea. There are three things your comment made me think about:

  1. It is interesting how we generally turn slang terms for genitalia (of both sexes) into insults
  2. I wonder just how much monitoring and/or oversight Facebook provides for its applications? I know they were recently pressured to remove two Holocaust denial groups, but I have not heard of them removing any applications due to offensive content or anything.
  3. I should create a poll asking people if they think the Jesus quiz is too offensive and should be removed (see below)!
